Then, the partner badmouths someone out of the blue. According to Kasandra, this behavior is a way to cover up mistakes and reduce her partner's suspicion.

"A cheating partner can suddenly vilify or demean another person because that person is an eye witness or who knows he is having an affair," Kasandra added.

Other behaviors that can be a sign of infidelity, he continued, include stealing phone calls, increasing or decreasing sexual relations, and the partner being suddenly busy.

According to Kasandra, the reasons someone commits an affair include anxiety about facing a transition period such as having their first child, children entering their teens, children who have grown up and are starting to leave home, and entering retirement.Infidelity can also occur as an escape from an unhappy marriage, not achieving expectations in marriage, feelings of loneliness, unfulfilled sexual needs in marriage, the absence of a partner both physically and emotionally, and opening up opportunities for infidelity such as being easy to meet the opposite sex in a place work.

"In addition, infidelity has often occurred in large families so that the values of loyalty are waning," added Kasandra.

On the same occasion, Kasandra also reminded that if someone has cheated before, they are three times more likely to cheat again than those who have never cheated.

"This means that people who have cheated in the past will have the possibility to cheat again in the future," he said
