Aqua jogging is a combination of activity between running and swimming which is beneficial for heart and blood vessel endurance, as quoted from Verywell Fit.

This exercise is also useful for recovering from injuries, because the legs are not burdened to support the body when stepping. Aqua jogging reduces the risk of straining the leg muscles, especially the lower part which is prone to injury, as quoted from Women's Running.

The research report Effects of Aquajogging in Obese Adults: a Pilot Study explains that physical exercise in water reduces the risk of injury to people who are overweight or obese.

During a six-week test of regular aqua jogging exercise, obese people experienced a reduction in waist circumference .
Reduced body fat also increases aerobic fitness.

Another study, The Effect of 12 Weeks of Water-aerobics on Health Status and Physical Fitness: an Ecological Approach, explains that a 12-week water aerobics program is useful for increasing strength, especially in the upper limbs. In addition, it reduces body fat and systolic blood pressure (contraction of the heart muscle).
